Dementia Australia is the national peak body and source of trusted information, education and services supporting the estimated half a million Australians living with Dementia and almost half a million Australians involved in their care.

The organisation is committed to connecting and collaborating with individuals, families, and organisations to support people impacted by Dementia and enable them to live as well as possible.

**The Job**

Reporting into the National Fundraising Events Manager you will be mentored and supported by an exceptional manager with a drive for success and a collaborative management style.

Your primary objective is to manage logistics of their flagship event series “Memory Walk & Jog” which is Australia wide so this role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane. The role will also support on the logistics and delivery of multiple other events that range in style and scale.

The purpose of this role is to assist with all the backend organisation of events including Memory Walk and Jog series nationally from end to end. You will be involved in the event planning, on-the-day operations and logistics and the post event analysis and reporting.

You will work closely and maintain strong working relationships with outsourced event suppliers with the support from an Event Co-ordinator.

You will also assist the National Campaigns Manager in the co-ordination of elements of the event that fall under the responsibility of other internal teams such as web/design and print as well as collaborating with the Volunteer co-ordinator so help source volunteers to help prior to and during the actual event.

Project planning, logistics and project management are key; you will work to specific budgets and timelines and clear and concise communication style is essential for each event to achieve the best outcomes.

**Experience & skills required**
- Events management experience with strong logistics background, ideally in an NFP
- Knowledge of broad events
- Excellent project management background
- Ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines
- Experience in customer service and relationship management
- Good numerical skills and an understanding of working to budgets
- Strong Microsoft Soft Office capability
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with multiple teams
