To support this pipeline of work the need for an experienced Technical Lead for their Renewables portfolio is required to join their growing Energy team. This role will be critical to enabling the company to build a portfolio of quality assets in the renewable energy sector within Australia.

**About the Role**

Maintaining a key leadership position, this role will manage project teams and play a lead role in determining and identifying potential issues, constraints and opportunities related to asset or project investment decisions. This opportunity will draw on your technical expertise to provide sound commercial judgments ensuring the commercial viability of any project or asset within the pipeline.
In this hands-on role, your key duties will include:

- All technical due diligence during the project acquisition / assessment phase including oversight of all project details
- Management of all technical aspects of feasibility, design and planning stages of renewable generation, storage, and transmission project development
- Review of technical terms of any PPAs being considered, including investment case technical considerations
- Input to the permitting and approvals processes of any projects being developed
- Drive the collaborative review of project designs and managing the development of the technical specification
- Compliance management including approvals and OHS obligations along with managing the AEMO registration process
- Identify resource and skill gaps within the Technical Workstream and develop strategies to bridge the gaps.

**About You**

It is preferable that you will have gained formal tertiary qualifications in Engineering with substantial experience in a technical leadership role. You will have significant knowledge, proven success and ability to competently navigate the many and varied commercial and technical challenges associated with grid connection and technology.
