We are seeking a
Technical Lead
with strong hands-on expertise in
IBM WebSphere and Middleware technologies
to join our Melbourne team. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and ensure the stability and performance of enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of engineers across different experience levels.
  • Administer and support
    IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
    ,
    IBM HTTP Server (IHS)
    , and
    WebSphere Commerce (WCS)
    environments.
  • Perform installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.
  • Act as the technical escalation point for complex incidents and performance issues.
  • Automate administration tasks using
    Jython
    and
    shell scripting
    .
  • Configure data sources, manage database connection pools, and ensure system integration.
  • Manage SSL certificates and security compliance.
  • Utilize monitoring tools such as
    Splunk
    ,
    AppDynamics
    , and
    AppInsight/SiteScope
    .

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in
    leading and mentoring technical teams
    .
  • Strong technical expertise in
    IBM WebSphere
    ,
    IHS
    ,
    Apache
    , and
    WCS
    .
  • Proficiency in
    Jython
    and
    shell scripting
    for automation.
  • Experience in production troubleshooting, performance analysis, and on-call support.
  • Knowledge of
    Azure infrastructure
    and
    Kubernetes
    is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
