We're working with a fast-growing Australian product company that has just secured a fresh funding round. It's a pivotal time to join — you'll be stepping in as a Backend Technical Lead with the autonomy to shape your path, make key decisions, and guide a high-performing team.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of backend developers — running code reviews, setting technical direction, and ensuring best practice engineering.
  • Designing and delivering scalable, event-driven serverless systems on AWS.
  • Staying hands-on with and TypeScript, contributing to core builds while guiding others.
  • Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and other leads to align technical solutions with business outcomes.
  • Overseeing architecture decisions, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and built for growth.
  • Driving continuous improvement across CI/CD, testing frameworks, and deployment pipelines.
