The role Reporting to the Manager, Strategy, Insights and Evaluation, you will guide and inspire a team of market research professionals within Queensland Health, fostering their development to deliver impactful projects enhancing health outcomes for consumers. Through your expert advice and leadership, you will influence the strategic direction of social market research projects and ensure they provide the branch with a comprehensive understanding of audience behaviours and attitudes as they relate to health issues. Your role involves cultivating strong relationships across Queensland Health, Health and Hospital Services (HHSs), government agencies, and health sector stakeholders. By efficiently managing external suppliers, you will ensure optimal return on investment while maintaining positive working relationships and high-quality outputs.
Your responsibilities extend to building in-depth knowledge of account management areas, actively identifying communication support needs, and contributing to continuous improvement within the Strategy, Insights, and Evaluation team. Contributing to operational planning, adhering to human resource and financial management processes, and helping out during health-related crises are part of the role. Your positive influence extends beyond projects to contribute to team, branch, and organisational culture.
The successful personTo excel in this position, you must highlight a record of accomplishment in successfully executing substantial or intricate social market research projects within designated budgets and timelines, ensuring all outcomes align with strategic priorities and are relevant and translatable to a communications context. Proficiency in communication and effective leadership, coupled with a proven aptitude for collaborative work and the establishment of effective professional relationships both internally and externally, is essential.
Moreover, your qualifications should encompass demonstrated expertise and comprehension of contemporary social market research methodologies. This includes a comprehensive grasp of behaviour change theory, as well as the capability to devise, implement, and evaluate communication strategies. Exceptional project management skills are paramount, highlighting your ability to meticulously plan and oversee the delivery of multiple competing priorities. Proficiency in tools like SPSS or Q are essential for this role.
