About the Role:
- As a Manufacturing Operator (Electronic Assembler) you will play a vital role in completing manufacturing tasks for the Cochlear Implant System. This includes micro-assembly with the use of a microscope to perform complex operations, while meeting productivity and quality requirements.-
- You must be able to work a minimum of 3 days/week, between Monday-Friday. Please note, that as a fixed term contractor, you are required to work the days and shift times you have elected at the time of offer, for the duration of your contract. Any request for changes to days or shift times due to changes in university timetable, will be considered based on business requirements.- We offer morning shifts (6am - 2pm) and afternoon shifts (2pm - 10pm)
About you:
Essential criteria include:
- Must be able to work in both our manufacturing sites at Macquarie University (1 University Ave, Macquarie Park) and Lane Cove (14 Mars Rd, Lave Cove West. Please note Lane Cove has limited public transport options). Parking is available at both sites.-
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and processes to the level of understanding work instructions, procedures and equipment care sheets- Ability to wear manufacturing garments (for example - mask, hood, gloves, hair net, coverall)- Please note you are not permitted to wear make-up, jewelry, perfumes, and should wear covered flat footwear as per entry procedures into our manufacturing areas.
