**THE OPPORTUNITY**

This role ensures the safe management and coordination of the day-to-day workshop and stores activities of the Mackay site, specifically being responsible for achieving production schedules, staffing, maintaining plant and equipment, WIP inventory control, capability development, quality control, manufacture, testing and finalisation.

**WHAT YOU'LL DO**
- Coordinate workshop activities optimising personnel, material and machine efficiency.
- Provide leadership and technical support to workshop employees.
- Ensure risk assessments are completed and/or available to all production/manufacturing/service staff as required.
- Support the Service Operations Manager to grow the capability of the operation to meet five year turnover targets by implementing appropriate recruitment, training and production management strategies.
- Develop a committed team of people through ongoing recruitment, development of existing employees and training to accomplish the objectives of the business unit.
- Provide guidance, planning assistance and relevant design and project related information on time to the respective internal department supervisors / managers and design engineers.

**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**
- Previous experience managing a group of people, especially performance review / management
- Demonstrated experience in resolving problems - both technical and people management issues
- Experience working within in a manufacturing or service environment
- Demonstrated experience with high level customer service, focusing on consultation and solution identification
