Drawing on over 150 years of local manufacturing experience in Australia, Godfrey Hirst is Australia’s largest carpet manufacturer and flooring distributor. As part of the Oceanic division of Mohawk Industries, our Australian and New Zealand operations are collectively Mohawk Flooring Oceania.
Reporting to the Chief People Officer for Mohawk Flooring Oceania, your hands-on approach will make a tangible impact on our organization's success. As a key player in our People team, you will partner with the business leaders delivering key operational and strategic objectives. The main focus areas include: Employee Relations, Recruitment and Onboarding, Learning & Development, Performance Management, and Employee Engagement.
Further to this you will assist in reviewing and writing policies, ensuring our company remains at the forefront of compliance and best practices and assist with EBA negotiations. Act as a trusted business partner to managers, providing them with support and advise on all People related matters.
You will be required to work from our various manufacturing sites which include South Geelong, North Geelong, Breakwater, Laverton and Truganina.
Ideally you have 5 years’ experience as a Senior Business Partner or 3 years’ experience as a People Manager, with a degree in Human Resources or a relevant discipline. You possess a proven track record of driving the strategic and operational People agenda with quantifiable outcomes.
You pride yourself in your ability to build relationships, am friendly and approachable, and keep yourself accountable to measurable outcomes. You have intermediate excel skills and experience working on HRIS.
