
Financial Reporting Process Lead

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Professional Accounting qualification (CA or CPA).
- 10 years of relevant experience from accounting practice and/or public multinational companies.
Preferred qualifications:
- Audit experience.
- Experience in process management, implementing governance structures, and reporting frameworks.
- Experience in and understanding of international statutory reporting processes and procedures for a multinational.
- Knowledge of and able to work across multiple functions - including Corporate Accounting, Tax, Legal, Vendor Management, and Financial Operations.
- Strong people skills, with the ability to build relationships and credibility.
- Project management, problem-solving, analysis, combined with business judgment and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).
**About the job**:
The Finance Operations team manages Google's cash transactions on a global basis and ensures that Google's incoming and outgoing cash processes are controlled, effective and efficient. As a member of this team, you'll find innovative ways to manage our complex set of transactions. You'll make processes more efficient and scalable, work to ensure the highest level of quality of our operations, and proactively minimize operational risk. Externally, you collaborate with our extended workforce partners and internally, you will collaborate across the multiple areas of the Financial Operations team.

The Financial Reporting Process Lead role, supports International Controllership leadership in the oversight and management of statutory financial statements and external reporting processes including supporting in-country reporting requirements across APAC. As a leader in the International Reporting and Governance team, you will have the opportunity to provide insightful data-driven strategic recommendations to leadership based on analysis, experience, technical acumen, and good judgment.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
**Responsibilities**:
- Design and maintain consistent, effective, and controlled processes and frameworks to support the statutory financial statement preparation and financial statement audit process in APAC.
- Perform central relationship management of our external auditors and key vendors including resource planning, budget control, metrics, performance assessment, and effective governance of financial statement audit escalations.
- Design and implement financial reporting process controls in line with the policy and controls framework.
- Ensure process resiliency and effective change management as our processes evolves as a result of system implementations or changes in Alphabet’s businesses.
- Partner effectively with other stakeholders (process leads, Country Controllership, cross-Finance teams) to ensure the effective design of end-to-end international reporting processes.
