The Role

As a TAFE Teacher in Travel and Tourism, you have the opportunity to influence the careers of future industry persons by sharing your extensive industry knowledge to students in a classroom or other educational setting.
We have multiple opportunities available in a casual, temporary part-time and/or temporary full-time capacity available until 27 June 2025 (unless otherwise determined) to join our Travel and Tourism team at TAFE Queensland's South Bank Campus.
This position reports to the Educational Team Leader.
Salary
The salary range for a full-time Teacher (Step 1 - 4) is $89,799.32 - $101,669.94 (gross) per annum, depending on educational qualifications held and teaching experience.

**Benefits**:
Four (4) weeks recreation leave (accrued annually)
Five (5) weeks Non-Attendance Time programmed annually for preparation
Paid overtime arrangements may be available, according to operational requirements, with generous compensation
12.75% Superannuation and Salary packaging options available
Mandatory Requirements
**Applicants must possess the following**:
Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed;
SIT50122 Diploma of Travel and Tourism Management;
SIT30122 Certificate III Tourism;
SIT30222 Certificate III Travel; and/or
SIT20122 Certificate II Tourism.
current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided;
current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided;
evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment;
Current Queensland Driver's license.
Additionally, to become a TAFE Teacher, you must hold one of the following training and assessment credentials:
TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor; or
TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
**TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; plus**:
TAELLN411 or its successor or TAELLN401A; and
TAEASS502 or its successor or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B; or
A credential issued by a higher education provider which would enable the individual to satisfy the academic requirements for registration as a secondary school teacher and one (1) of the following credentials:
TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor, or
TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or its successor; or
TAESS00011 Assessor Skill Set; or
A diploma or higher-level qualification in adult or vocational education (approved by TAFE Queensland).
