**Position Information**:
Located on the fringe of the city, Forest Lodge Public School was founded in 1883 and serves a vibrant and engaged community with a focus on high quality delivery in all areas of school life. Current enrolment is 314 students.

The school celebrates the uniqueness of each child, and its goal is to develop academic excellence within a supportive environment for students, staff, and parents. Staff are continuously reflecting on and refining pedagogy to ensure they are providing evidence-based practices in all areas of teaching and learning, with a particular focus on collaborative and data-informed practice.

Forest Lodge PS is a high performing academic school with excellent NAPLAN results and technology-based initiatives and programs. The school has a wide range of creative and performing arts initiatives and programs that involve students both through RFF structure and co-curricular activities. These include three bands and a percussion program, with opportunities for students to showcase their skills through performances. Other opportunities for co-curricular activities include French, Mandarin, public speaking, drama, robotics, chess, and choir both for students and adults.

The school hosts a highly engaging and sought-after before and after school care service - FLASCA - which provides care for 160 students throughout the term and during school holidays. The school's Student Representative Council and Year 6 leaders work with the wider community on key projects to help shape their understanding of local and wider community issues, and to promote key citizenship values and engagement. A strong focus on sustainability education and action is supported through a vibrant school-P&C partnership.

4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning

5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning

6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policies and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
