Ramsgate Public School serves a culturally diverse community of around 460 students, including 63% English as a language or dialect (EAL/D) learners and 2.8% of students identifying as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander. The school community is inclusive and strongly connected, supported by an active P&C and community partnerships through after-school programs, an onsite OOSH service, and a weekly organic market.

Staff focus on explicit teaching and restorative practices to strengthen both learning and wellbeing. Improvements in NAPLAN and Check-in assessments, particularly in writing, reflect the impact of these approaches. In its 2024 External Validation, the school was validated as Excelling or Sustaining and Growing across all School Excellence Framework elements. The classification and remuneration of our school principals is based on school complexity, as measured through each school's RAM allocation. As part of the ongoing application of the new structure a review of thresholds and outcomes will occur on an annual basis. The principal classification for this school is Principal Level P2 for 2025 and Principal Level P2 for 2026.
