**Who we are**
The Digital Enabling Services Branch provides services that support the operations of the Digital Services Division, and delivery of ICT capabilities that align with modern ways of working. The branch functions include Information and Records Management, ERP Systems, Web Systems, ICT Procurement Hub, ICT Workforce Management, ICT Financial Management, Ways of Working Enablement Centre, and the DSD Project Management Office (DSD PMO).
**The Job**
The Project Support Officer/s will support the delivery of standardised project management, governance, and assurance activities to the Project Management Competency (PMC) and assist with recruitment activities to support engagement of project administration resources. The DSD PMO team has three main delivery focus areas:
1. Provide ICT project management and project governance services to enable successful delivery of the department’s ICT capabilities; improves and standardises program/project delivery methodologies; actions the Digital Transformation Agency’s (DTA) project reporting requests on behalf of the department by coordinating responses for digital or ICT initiatives with a whole of life budget of >$10m and reporting on the projects overall health and performance; and reports to Executives and other stakeholders on the progress of delivery and outcomes for the DSD project portfolio (setting and monitoring internal metrics on project performance, establishing and monitoring processes of resource and risk management, establishing processes to manage project change, etc).
2. Undertake workforce planning, recruitment, and resource management for the PMC workforce resources (including Program/Project Managers, Project Support Officers, ICT Delivery Managers, Organisational Change Managers, Business Analysts, etc).
3. Embed effective Organisational Change Management resources and skills to ensure the successful adoption and usage of ICT capabilities.
Working under limited direction, the successful applicant will be required to work in a fast-paced environment to:
- implement and maintain the division’s project management policies, guidelines, processes, and templates; including work plans, setting tasks and priorities to implement project, program and operational outcomes, changes, and enhancements; ensuring resource availability and allocation
- support implementation of an Agile delivery methodology, updating the Agile information hub, keep Agile templates up-to date, assist and record findings of audits on in-flight project documentation
- undertake project and portfolio reporting, identify, and provide advice on issues that could impact successful project delivery
- assist in the planning and delivery of projects using the department's project management frameworks and product development approaches
- provide Secretariat support for Working Groups and Steering Committees
- work closely across internal human resource functions to ensure a collaborative approach in the sourcing, recruitment, and onboarding
- work collaboratively as part of a high performing team/organisation, establishing and maintaining effective partnerships with key internal and/or external stakeholders to and deliver business outcomes
- support innovation, continuous improvement and learning and development.
**What we are looking for**
**Knowledge and experience**
The successful applicant will have:
- strategic thinking and experience in business change management and implementation (project management, business analysis etc)
- well-developed skills and experience in developing, monitoring, maintaining, and implementing information, records, policies and procedures, and execution of procedural tasks
- experience and ability to maintain project databases and tracking systems (DevOps, SharePoint, Sensei IQ, CRM)
- experience collaborating with team members to achieve program, project, and business outcomes
- experience in an ICT environment or digital transformation will be well regarded.
It would be desirable if the successful applicant has:
- demonstrated experience in Administration, Office, Project or Business Management
- demonstrated experience with Agile methodologies and/or Microsoft Azure DevOps.
