Commercial and Contracts Manager

**The Opportunity**

Hitachi Construction Machinery has an exciting opportunity within our Australian Mining Sales sector for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the team as a Commercial and Contracts Manager. This is a permanent full-time role based in our Mining Head Office, located in Wacol, Brisbane 4076 QLD.

This position would suit someone who is meticulous in overseeing commercial contracts and has a strong ability in negotiations. Ensuring that commercial strategies, plans and objectives are established in compliance with companies’ risk profiles, procedure and processes. This role will be reporting to the General Manager of Mining Sales and you will be in required to exercise the below.

**Responsibilities**
- Management of Mining Sales Contracts across all Stakeholder both internally and externally
- Organisation of contract obligations and identifying contractual risks
- Analyse and monitor contract performance, identifying gaps and providing recommendations to improve all contracts management, reporting and financial risks.
- Support Mining Sales team with contracts negotiations, whilst providing recommendations to all stakeholders to optimise commercial position of all parties.
- Regularly reporting on financial, contractual and administrative status of contract and major accounts.
- Providing sustainable and compliant resolutions to commercial disputes to ensure company outcomes are achieved.
- Being a key manager of tender / proposal scopes preparations on multiple Mining projects with shifting deadlines

**About you**
- Excellent time management and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously with a structured approach.
- Strong understanding or previous experience in working with conventional contract, commercial management to assist in drafting contracts, coordination of tenders and supply contract negotiations.
- Demonstrated experience drafting reports, presentations of findings and administration duties
- Advanced understating of MS Office.
- Ability to work autonomously and thorough about meeting multiple deadlines.
- Tertiary related qualification in Business, Commerce, Finance and or Legal highly regarded.
