This is an

**talented Human Resources Advisor/Business Partner** to join a highly successful & prominent
**Melbourne law firm **(with suburban and regional
***offices), centrally based in the CBD.

**About the Role...**
Reporting to the People & Culture General Manager who is also Melbourne based, your role as a People & Culture Generalist (Advisor) will be varied,
**encompassing wide ranging responsibilities** for example:

- Employee Development and Performance (development of a system for learning and development, conduct training needs analysis, design training and workshops, recommend and coordinate training initiatives, analyse and reporting, coordinate the bi-annual Performance and Development Plan (PDP) process; follow up with managers post PDP on training needs; assist with performance management issues;
- Communicate, promote & coordinate to all staff regular/ad-hoc initiatives, employee events and programs;
- Build strong and enduring relationships with staff at all levels within the firm;
- Monitor, manage and deliver continual improvement of HR systems, policies and processes;
- Assist GM, P&C on various HR projects and workshops etc.
- **Previous HR experience, gained in a law firm would be ideal, alternatively those with experience within a leading professional services firm** (eg. accounting and/or engineering) are encouraged to apply
- **Solid generalist HR experience** covering full employee lifecycle is desired;
- Learning & Development exposure & experience is preferred, with a view to generating **continuous improvement**;
- Excellent communication skills (both written & verbal) at any level and a strong client service focus;
- Strong** 'hands on' HR style** with the ability to motivate and influence others;
- Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities;
- **'Team player'** ethos and have a high levels of discretion, integrity and commitment to the company's standards;
- Initiative and a **proactive** approach.
