**The Opportunity**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Manager to join our AMA Collison team, based in Melbourne.

This is a permanent full-time hybrid role, and you will be provided with opportunities for growth, stability, and security as part of the bigger AMA Group.

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the maintenance and improvement of the 70 production sites across the AMA Collision network within Australia.

This role focuses on establishing and managing a portfolio of suppliers to enhance services and the cost-effectiveness in delivering essential services related to the maintenance of our buildings, crucial equipment, and compliance with state laws and regulations. In addition to delivering outstanding in-house service to our Operational leaders and Centre Managers, and guarantee a safe, secure and functional working environment for all team members, incorporating reactive, preventative and planned maintenance activities.

**Role responsibilities**
- Role model and lead a positive safety culture.
- Comply and provide safe practices and work environments in line with all AMA safety standards,
- Identifying industry best practice opportunities and maintaining industry awareness for facilities management trends.
- Maintain fire, emergency, security, regulatory, and compliance records for all sites
- Work closely with Operational Leaders and Centre Managers to identify and manage operational and maintenance requirements for our facilities including management of repairs to fixtures, fittings and equipment.
- Establish and manage a portfolio of suppliers that will service AMA Collision sites with repairs and maintenance, security, cleaning, waste management, energy connection/disconnections and other requirements.
- Work closely with external contractors, including sourcing of quotations from suppliers who have relevant expertise and met regulatory standards. Including contractor on-site management, safety onboarding, and implementing self-service opportunities for sites with preferred suppliers and agreed rate cards.
- Develop, plan, co-ordinate and communicate the schedule of regular/ planned facilities management activities such as preventative maintenance, electrical testing, cleaning etc.
- Other general administrative duties as required.

**Does this sound like you?**
- Approx. 3+year’s experience in a Facilities, Engineering or Building Management role, within a commercial environment
- Qualifications in health and safety or facilities management
- Understanding and experience in preventative maintenance programs

Leadership skills to manage maintenance team and contractors.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance.
- Negotiation skills for negotiating contracts and for managing projects.
- The ability to set targets, deadlines and budgets.
- Advanced computer skills including the ability to operate a Building Management System and Microsoft Office Programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of all building trades and a commonsense approach to a range of maintenance issues
- Sound problem-solving skills and a willingness to be available after-hours when required.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks, multiple deadlines, prioritise work and see tasks through to completion.
