**What’s the role?**

As Executive Manager, WIB & Treasury Risk, you’ll provide independent, forward-looking risk oversight across Westpac’s Treasury and Institutional Banking businesses. You’ll work closely with senior leaders to assess operational risk, support strategic initiatives, and ensure risks are identified, understood, and effectively managed.

The role involves leading thematic reviews, analysing emerging risks, and contributing to a strong and proactive risk culture. You’ll also provide critical insights to support decision-making and transformation efforts. This is a full-time position based in Sydney, reporting to the Head of Risk for the WIB Division, specifically within Financial Markets and Treasury. The role will focus on supporting the Financial Markets Trading and Treasury teams.

**What do I need?**

We’re looking for someone with strong analytical thinking, sound judgement, and the ability to influence at senior levels. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring a strategic mindset to risk management.
- Deep understanding of Treasury and Financial Markets risk, processes, and controls
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify emerging risks and trends
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and contributing to strategic decisions
- Proven ability to lead thematic reviews and provide independent risk oversight
- Familiarity with prudential standards (e.g. APS117, APS210) and/or data risk is a plus
