QA Officer

**Organisation Background**

Australian Native Products (ANP) was founded in 1998 as a niche Lemon Myrtle producer on the Far North Coast of New South Wales, with customers located in the local region, interstate and overseas. Due to significant investment over recent years, we have grown to become the world’s largest producer of Lemon Myrtle, by diversifying across other product categories and geographies both locally and internationally and establishing a global customer base.

**Role Overview**

We are looking for a QA Officer to assist the QA & Research Coordinator with quality management, tasks and associated documentation to ensure product manufacturing, release, shipment and development processes within the business, particularly undertaking sampling and documentation associated with product from the NSW facility.

This is a casual position (2-3 days p/week) based at our lab/office in The Channon, NSW. Reporting to the QA & Research Coordinator.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Undertake required sampling for testing all harvested and processed products
- Maintain good sample reports and inventory databases
- Evaluate sampling methods
- Maintain sampling equipment and associated lab facilities at the NSW facility
- Provide reports to the QA & Research Coordinator regarding NSW product and analysis status
- Assist in developing Standard Equipment Operating Procedures for equipment at the NSW facility
- Maintain all QA related data in appropriate and adequate collected and stored data systems
- Liaise and handle external lab testing documentation
- Assist the QA and Research Coordinator with other QA and Research tasks as required

**Required skills and experience**:

- Understanding of sampling practices for food quality analysis (preferred)
- Attention to details
- Logical and analytical
- Computer literate and competent in both word and excel
- Ability to work independently and safely in a laboratory environment
