About the role

The Risk Specialist will work with the Risk Manager to champion a positive risk management culture within Customer Markets, proactively supporting the business to identify and mitigate risk. The team is also responsible for Remediation Governance.

What you’ll be doing:
- Establishing, managing and continuously improving risk and issues frameworks across Customer Markets, in accordance with AGL’s Risk and Compliance management frameworks.- Driving an effective risk and compliance culture within Customer Markets- Providing practical and pragmatic advice to the business to improve maturity of risk governance and culture.- Implementing operational risk and issues management frameworks and approach for Customer Markets, proactively working to embed the principles and objectives of AGL’s Risk Management and Compliance Management Frameworks.- Participating in risk workshops for business as usual and project activities as required.- You’ll be responsible for the accurate and timely documenting of risks and issues, based on clearly defined criteria.

- Experience with compliance and risk management in a dynamic business environment.- Broad business knowledge and demonstrated ability to understand and communicate the balance between risk and commercial outcomes.- Work collaboratively with our people at all levels across the organisation.- A demonstrated willingness and ability to take ownership and accountability of decisions and advice.- Excellent interpersonal skills, with high quality written and verbal communication skills
