Our client has occupied a distinct presence in the construction sector for over six decades as one of the premier organisations in Australia.

Having been involved in land mark projects across Australia our client has secured a significant pipeline of major projects and due to their consistent growth, is now looking for an experienced HR professional to further strengthen their people and culture team team.

Your main responsibilities will include:Provide expertise in designing & managing a range of HR policies and procedures based on relevant legislation and HR management practices.

- Being an active and contributing HR team member, managing and directing our staff, sharing insights and knowledge to build a better team and suite of HR practices
- Coordinating & facilitating of probation reviews, annual staff performance evaluations and creation of development plans
- Sound advisory, communication and interpersonal skills including conflict resolution, collaboration, facilitation, negotiation and the ability to build trust
- Planning and time management skills with excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building experience
- Communication with all new or updated policies to employees in a timely manner
- Review of current HR documentation and agreements to ensure compliance with current legislation
- Effective mentoring and team leadership skills in the coordination of a busy and reactive environment

**Essential**
- At least 3-5 years experience as HR generalist/HR Advisor in a similar industry ideally within a blue collar environment
- HR qualification - a degree or diploma is preferred with relevant practical experience
- Knowledge of Australian human resource practices and legislation
- Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
- Advance proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ensure that the strictest of confidentiality is maintained at all times
