**The Role**

In this pivotal Malanda role the Technical Lead ensures systems are in place so that all product and processes achieve required quality, food safety and environmental standards, and meet customer and regulatory requirements. The ability to deal with the various key stakeholders including Site Leaders, Corporate and Regulatory Authorities are paramount to success in this role.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead stakeholder engagement on site in relation to the implementation of strategic and operational plans for Quality, Food Safety, and the Environment to ensure compliance to relevant Company, State and National Statutory requirements
- Drive continuous improvement of Quality, Food Safety and Environmental Programs
- Ensure that site processes and procedures meet quality & environmental requirements for equipment, materials, processes, methods and people.
- Ensure that relevant Quality & Environment systems are maintained
- Coordinate the preparation of timely and correct reporting of matters relating to Risk, to satisfy all company, site and statutory requirements.
- Develop and maintain an effective system of responding to customer & consumer complaints
- Manage and co-ordinate third party accreditation programs - HACCP, SQF etc
- Manage a team of 3-7 HSEQ members

**Required**

Essential:

- Tertiary qualification in Food Science or Dairy Technology
- Sound knowledge of laboratory, quality and environmental management systems

**Experience**:

- 5-10 years Food Industry experience
- Leading and managing change
- Delivering system and process continuous improvement initiatives

**Skills**:

- Ability to build strong, constructive relationships across a number of cross functional stakeholders
- Sound problem solving and decision making skills.
- Demonstrable leadership and teambuilding skills
- Sound technical skills in quality systems and HACCP.
- Demonstrate initiative and innovation to drive for continued improvement
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
