Procurement Category Manager

A great opportunity for a **Procurement Category Manager **to join our Procurement Team at Domain in an exciting Greenfield opportunity to introduce Procurement Management across the organisation.

This role will be foundational in the establishment of a customer-obsessed Procurement function, which aims to balance the delivery of optimal commercial value, with a best-in-class stakeholder experience. In this role you will leverage strong stakeholder relationships across the business to promote early engagement with the Procurement Team, as a trusted advisor to the organisation.

**Who are you?**
- Collaborate with and influence decisions of a range of stakeholders up to Executive level to optimise organisation wide vendor strategy
- Advise the Senior and Executive Leadership Team as to commercial risks and mitigation strategies relating to vendor decisions.
- Maintain end to end accountability for developing and implementing category strategies in line with industry best practice to ensure optimum price and minimised risk in all vendor engagements through rationalised and condensed vendor base
- Identify and act on opportunities for operational efficiencies, drive cost savings, manage risk, improve safety, drive innovation, and ensure the continuous development of categories managed
- Supervise, plan, manage and assume responsibility for all vendor selection/RFx, onboarding and renewal activities associated with the categories assigned
- Facilitate and lead negotiations for all commercial and non-legal contractual aspects of vendor deals
- Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach an agreement on contract terms and conditions
- Identify potential vendor partnership improvement opportunities
- Identify innovative procurement solutions that provide cashable savings and process efficiencies for Domain
- Address vendor disputes and non-performance to ensure the highest level of service delivery
- Maintain strong business partnerships with vendors
- Facilitate implementation and stakeholder education of procurement change initiatives within the category to improve business performance
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of respective global supply markets, competitors, and product innovations. Be the trusted advisor to business stakeholders of this knowledge.
- Track, measure, report and evaluate vendor performance in the context of existing contractual obligations

**Attributes**
- At least 3 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a digital, e-Commerce or start-up/ramp-up based organisation
- Strong cross-functional stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills
- Strong commercial acumen
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and manage concurrent deadlines
- Strong creative problem solving skills, and ability to thrive in ever-changing and uncertain environments
