**_The Role _**
- We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Planning Compliance Officer to join our Regional City Planning Department on a temporary full-time basis until mid-January 2026. _
- In this role, you'll investigate alleged breaches of the Latrobe Planning Scheme, Planning Permits and Section 173 Agreements and take decisive action to ensure compliance using the Infringements Acts and other notices in line with the Planning and Environment Act. _
- You will raise awareness about planning controls among the community and developers, leading to higher compliance levels throughout the municipality and delivering great outcomes for the team. _

**_About You: _**
- You will have a proven track record in enforcement and compliance activities. You will also have a solid understanding of the Planning and Environment Act, Planning Appeals Act, Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal Act, Subdivision Act, and the Victorian Planning Scheme. _
- Your knowledge of relevant legislation and understanding of the concepts and major issues emerging within local government will enable you to make a valuable contribution to the team. _
- You will have the ability to liaise, coordinate and communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders and have the ability to search for solutions to new situations using your technical expertise. _
- You will also have proven ability in time management, meeting deadlines and prioritising work, demonstrated customer service skills and a commitment to continuous improvement. _

- _Experience in an enforcement-related position or within a Local Government Authority. _
- _Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and the ability to learn specialised systems. _
- _Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people. _
- _Attention to detail and accuracy. _
- _Adaptability, initiative and a commitment to continuous improvement. _
- _Current Victorian Drivers Licence. _
