**The Role**

We are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to be based in our Salisbury branch in Brisbane, supporting our busy workshop and local projects.

Your responsibilities as Safety Advisor will include but are not limited to:

- Supporting day to day HSE requirements at our Brisbane Workshop and local projects
- Provide up to date information on legislative and regulatory changes, to ensure we maintain compliance and take advantage of opportunities for improvement
- Shared responsibility for OHS policies and procedures aligned with our Safety Management System and ISO certifications
- Assist with KPI's aligned to ISO accreditation
- Assist with OHS induction and training
- Subcontractor compliance
- Identifying potential risks and hazards and creating workable solutions to minimise or eliminate these
- Investigation of injuries, incidents and near misses and implementation of corrective actions; including assistance with projects
- Developing strong relationships with all stakeholders, including employees, contractors, clients and networks
- Auditing

**About you**

To be considered for this role you will have:

- Qualification in workplace health and safety
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment preferred
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Experienced in conducting investigations with ICAM and root cause analysis
- Previous experience in fabrication workshop and construction/mine site environments
- Demonstrated passion, enthusiasm and commitment to workplace health and safety and safety culture
- Demonstrated ability to pro-actively problem-solve, analyse and implement practical solutions
- The desire to be a team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships internally as well as externally to positively influence health and safety outcomes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer literacy
- Proven ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Up to date knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
- Superior time management skills, with the ability to deal with conflicting priorities in a busy & fast paced environment.
