Where the team fits in
As the Broker Advice Consultant, you will be involved in delivering broker monitoring and education across the Mortgage Choice business. You will engage with brokers through regular file reviews and coaching of credit representatives.
You will be a point of contact for compliance training and support as well as facilitating and formalising input between key stakeholders across the broker distribution network to close the loop between findings, training and communications to our brokers and Franchise Owners.
What the role is all about- Work with internal businesses to ensure a feedback loop is established for early escalation of any Compliance or Training issues in the Franchise network- Develop and deliver one on one coaching or one to many training opportunities via Professional Development days, webinars or in office training sessions with our network- Foster a continuous improvement culture within the team to drive efficiencies and improve customer (broker) experience- Actively demonstrate and champion a growth mindset that considers long term strategic direction of the business and circulates that mindset through the team to optimise current processes and ways of working- Ensure active collaboration is achieved between the crossover in review outcomes, remediation activities training and coaching with the Distribution, Learning & Development and Lending Services teams
Who we’re looking for- Compliance /Risk experience within a financial services organisation, ideally with residential lending and/or mortgage broking related experience- Minimum Tertiary qualifications in a related business discipline, or Certificate IV or Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking and extensive experience in monitoring and training of representatives under an Australian Credit Licence and/or Australian Financial Services Licence- Working knowledge of the legislative regimes that underpin mortgage broking and the provision of credit advice with the ability to translate Regulatory requirements into practice and process, as well as ensure these can be understood at all levels- Well-developed coaching and strong presentation skills with the ability to present to large groups, and industry events such as Professional Development days-
- Strong achievement & results focus, with the ability to anticipate, prioritise and deal with issues proactively and decisively, to ensure work is completed within agreed timeframes, coupled with the ability to take responsibility for outcomes
