With a robust focus on sustainability and adherence to the highest international standards, they are driving positive change in the industry and looking for a Safety Officer to join their team based in south east of Melbourne on 3-month contract.

**About the Role**
As the Safety Officer you will play a critical role in implementing and enforcing safety protocols within the manufacturing facility. You will support and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards which will involve being hands on and conducting regular inspections and audits of the facility to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

To be successful in the role, you will be able to influence all levels of the business from a safety compliance perspective and build a positive safety culture.

**Skills & Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Proven experience working as a Safety Officer in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards, such as OHS Act, HACCP, and ISO14001.
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively engage and influence all levels of the business.
