Hophaus is in search of an experienced manager to join our ranks as Assistant Venue Manager. If you're ready to bring your expertise to a dynamic team and thrive in a multifaceted environment, we want to hear from you.

Nestled along the Yarra River with sweeping views of the cityscape Hophaus is a bustling venue that seamlessly combines a chic dining terrace, a lively beer hall, and a welcoming public bar. As our name suggests, we take pride in a curated beer list, but it doesn't end there...we boast extensive beverage lists with a European influence. We aim to provide a warm, welcoming venue whether it be for drinks, dining or a function/event. As a part of the senior management team we are looking for someone who shares our flair for providing great hospitality.

Role Overview:
As Assistant Venue Manager, you'll be a pivotal force driving our operational excellence. Your responsibilities span ensuring seamless operations across the entire venue - from the lively beer hall to the refined dining room and spacious outdoor terrace. As a leader at the forefront, you'll guide, mentor, and set a standard of excellence.

What You'll Do:

- Collaborate with our General Manager to drive excellence in customer service, staff performance, and daily operations.
- Lead by example by actively participating in front-of-house activities, setting the standard for service quality.
- Guide and inspire the team, offering training and mentorship to enhance their skills and foster a positive environment.
- Assist in managing inventory, ordering, and stock control to optimise efficiency and minimise waste.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
- Handle guest feedback and concerns with professionalism and effective problem-solving.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow and consistent food quality.
- Identify opportunities for improvements and evolution of our offerings.
