**About the Role**:
John Holland is looking to engage with established, experienced and ambitious **Design Managers** to take on a senior leadership role across our Adelaide business.

This senior leadership role will allow you to contribute to the sustainable growth and success of the South Australian business by drawing on your industry knowledge and capabilities. This senior leadership roles needs your well-defined Design skills in all aspects of civil infrastructure, project development and delivery with the ability to provide functional leadership of design management for projects and the business unit.

**Responsibilities of the role include**:

- Maintain relationships with design partners relevant to the Business Unit
- Review design and engineering management activities on bids and projects in consultation with other managers and professionals to ensure that standards of quality, cost, safety and time performance are achieved
- Ensure bid and project design management resource needs are met with appropriate staff
- Review design management systems for best practice and recommend updates - advocate design management improvement
- Prepare and maintain a design management budgets and work schedules, and liaise with Project Managers in placement of resources on bids and projects
- Coordinate, select and mentor design and engineering management resources
- Review selection and engagement of design consultants with bid and project resources and provide appropriate commercial support

**To be successful in this key role, you will have**:

- Relevant qualifications and project experience suitable to work on large and complex projects.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar Senior Project Manager/Project Director/Construction Manager position or be more than ready to step up into a leadership role.
- Successful construction management of multidisciplinary projects from a wide range of contract values and complexity
