Digital and Social Media Coordinator

You will lead the digital and social media communications and engagement and assist in developing trust and understanding between members of the Marine Rescue Queensland and the community
**The core capability requirements for this role are**:
- Plan, coordinate, deliver and evaluate external and internal corporate communication strategies for MRQ.
- Represent MRQ, and build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders including QPS communication colleagues to achieve positive outcomes.
- Provide expertise in a range of stakeholder and community engagement using traditional and emerging channels.
- Develop and write communication and marketing materials for events, publications, online platforms and presentations.
- Identify proactive opportunities to market and promote MRQ and engage with communities to increase disaster resilience.
- Prepare and write corporate communication material, talking points, speech notes and briefing material for use by MRQ executives.
- Provide training to MRQ volunteers and staff involved in communication activities.
**Role Requirements**:Qualification**:
- Formal qualifications and/or experience in communications, media, and/or marketing will be highly desirable.
**Other**:
- Ability to travel intra-state in alignment with service requirements.
