At **Eric Jones Stairbuilding**, we are an Australian family-owned business which has been leading the Victorian staircase manufacturing industry since 1947.

We are a recognised Registered Building Practitioner that specialises in architecturally designed steel stairs and balustrading in the commercial and residential building sector.

About the Opportunity:
We are looking for a highly self-motivated experienced **Production Operations Supervisor **who can oversee our steel workshop in Blackburn together with our Leading Hands, on site installation work, and has the ability to drive quality workmanship and productivity in a safe work environment.

This position will suit a person with a background in the construction industry and ideally a skillset in metalwork - Fabricator/Steel Installer. You will be a highly organised operator who can handle pressure, coordinate resources, meet and get the job done on time

**What we are looking for**:

- Ideally you will have worked in a similar role with numerous years of experience
- Experience in steel stairbuilding would be highly regarded
- The ability to manage and lead a team with dynamic skills and personalities (up to 12-14 staff) in a constantly changing and competitive environment
- Ability to troubleshoot and be proactive to overcome challenges and barriers
- Highly developed communication and client relationship management skills
- Strong commitment to quality and safety
- Be well presented and spoken
- Have a great eye for detail
- Be highly organised, self-motivated, with a strong desire to lead and achieve results
- A great work ethic
- Ability to provide feedback to both team and to management for continued business improvement

**The Role will involve**:

- Together with our Leading Hands - schedule and co-ordinate on site and workshop resources
- Together with our Leading Hands - oversee and lead a team of Tradespeople, Trade-assistants, and sub-contractors on site and in workshop
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality, standards, and in a safe work environment
- Develop, maintain and grow existing relationships with all stakeholders by providing effective and timely communication and offering problem solving ideas to overcome obstacles
- Monitor divisional administration including approval of time sheets, invoicing, and ordering of materials
