**The Role**
This is an exciting and dynamic position that will see the successful person become a member of the team that manages and governs a critical enabling capability on behalf of the Australian Defence Force (ADF). The position plays a pivotal role in managing governance arrangements and performance management for the ADF's contracted health services (Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Healthcare).
The role will face competing priorities within a fast paced environment and the person holding the role will need to be flexible regarding daily tasks to support the branch and the broader command.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. **About our Team**
The Australian Defence Force Health Service Contract (ADFHSC) Directorate is a high performing team, responsible for the oversight and management of the ADF Health Services Contract. The team supports the Director to monitor and manage the contract through the contract management framework including administration and governance, performance and risk, the contracted health services and supply, demand and budget.
The contracted health services include, an Integrated Contracted Health Professional Workforce, 24 hour Medical Advice, Triage and Referral Service, Specialised Services, Imaging and Radiology, Pathology, and Occupational Rehabilitation Services.
As an Executive Level 1 Contract Manager you will be adept at managing the relationship with the contractor and the broader requirement of Joint Health Command - the effective delivery of health services to the ADF.
They will also have experience in managing, developing and mentoring staff.
