Principal Project Officer

Provide professional, authoritative and timely strategic advice to senior management on issues of a complex nature pertaining to program and project management. Assist in the development and management of the implementation of policies and procedures to maximise program and project performance delivery. Provide visible and consistent program and project management leadership, direction and focus across the department. Maintain current knowledge of formulate responses to emerging trends in project and program management methodologies within Queensland government and the private sector. Ensure best practice frameworks and processes are delivered within the department through high-level consultation with and influencing of internal and external stakeholders. Formulate and prepare proposals, recommendations, submissions and briefing papers of a complex nature and negotiate recommendations at senior executive level on policies and procedures as they relate to program management. Provide high-level timely, accurate and consolidated program reporting that provides visibility of the program's status, dependencies, issues and risks.
