**Job description**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead and implement strategic employee relations projects ensuring alignment to strategy and compliance obligations
- Lead development and management of employee relations policies, including development of new policies and review and revision of existing policies
- Lead development and implementation of governance frameworks for compliance with legislative obligations, collective agreements, employment contracts and policies
- Contribute to People and Culture due diligence and integration activities on multiple concurrent acquisitions and other transactions
- Contribute to bargaining for enterprise agreements (Australia) and collective agreements (New Zealand)
- Manage the implementation of change initiatives resulting from changes in enterprise/collective agreements, employment agreements and policies
- Monitor and ensure compliance with legislative and compliance obligations
- Lead and implement training for people leaders and P&C on employee relations
- Work closely with our internal employment law team to escalate as appropriate and obtain legal advice where required
- Monitor external trends and the legislative and regulatory environment to ensure a contemporary approach to employee relations and ongoing compliance.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Employee Relations team to ensure alignment
- Project manage all programs according to the agreed project delivery method, people engagement practices and monitoring quality assurance through reporting, tracking, risk identification and management
- Proactively manage risk for IAG

**Skills & Experience**
- Seven or more years’ experience as a senior ER practitioner in a commercial organisation of significant complexity and preferably across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience in project and change management including cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in an agile environment, exercising good judgment with incomplete information.
- Strategic mindset - able to anticipate issues and take an active approach resolving them
- Courage and ability to challenge and influence stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience coaching and upskilling leaders and HR practitioners
- Proven ability to actively keep abreast of changes in external environment and translate into internal environment
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across whole of function and broader group to reach common approach
- Relevant tertiary qualifications - Degree in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Law
