**About the role**
UGLs Manufacturing & Maintenance business is seeking an experienced Production Planner to join our Component Solutions division and support with growth in our OHV and mining equipment overhaul team. This role will be offered on a full time permanent basis and will be located at our Broadmeadow facility in Newcastle.
Reporting the Production Delivery Manager, the role of Production Planner is responsible for leading the production planning team and working with the production team, customers (where applicable) and other key stakeholders to manage the overall production plan, issue the production schedule, track and report production performance and ensure work is correctly closed out. This role will work with planning, purchasing, production and warehouse to meet the financial outcomes of the Business Unit.
**About you**
- Trade certificate, Diploma or further education is preferred.
- Solid mathematically ability including statistics.
- Previous experience with planning in a heavy industry environment
- Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles.
- Experienced gained in the rail, automotive, defence, avionics or any other safety critical environment.
