A large government agency based in Wollongong is actively recruiting for a Change Manager to be apart of a digital transformation piece of work for a 6 month contract. Working closely with the Project Manager. The role will design and deliver change impact assessments, change strategies, detailed change management, communication, and training plans, and will undertake other change management activities as required for the successful delivery of applicable projects. Must be willing to work 2 days a week in Wollongong, the rest WFH.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Develops a structured change management approach and methodology for the people-facing changes caused by projects
- Develops and implements a change management strategy based on awareness of the details of the change and the groups being impacted by the change
- Identifies potential change risks and anticipated points of resistance and develops specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns
- Continuously monitors change readiness in business and develops relevant interventions
- Completes change impact assessment and training needs analysis
- Develops a set of actionable and targeted change management plans - including an engagement and communication plan, and training plan for each identified project
- Conducts readiness assessments, evaluates results, and presents findings in a logical and easy to understand manner
- Supports the execution of plans by employee facing managers and business leaders
- Identifies resistance and performance gaps, and works to develop and implement corrective actions
- Creates and enables reinforcement mechanisms and celebrations of success
- Works with project teams to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan
- Works with communication, training, and HR specialists in the formulation of particular plans and activities to support project implementation
- Collaborate and consult with project managers and key stakeholders in impacted business units to understand the challenges to be overcome in the design, development and implementation of communication plans
- Provide communication support, including the development of communication plans and materials, to the project and project sponsor Change and Project teams for strategic IT projects
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships across the business

**To be considered for this position essential requirements include**:

- Experience in customer experience or digital transformation
- The ability to work collaboratively with external partners in the design of digital operating models and change/capability uplift plans
- Experience working in a fast-paced/agile program environment
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in change management
- Prosci certified
- Experience in working directly with senior executive leaders
- Experience delivering change management services within large and complex organisations
- Experience in developing and delivering end-to-end bespoke communications strategies and plans
- Demonstrated experience in writing communications material for a wide range of audiences, including senior executives, Boards and operational staff
