**Head of Estimating**

**About the role**

We have a rare opportunity to join UGL’s corporate team in the role of Head of Estimating, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. The role can be based out of our Brisbane, Melbourne or North Sydney office.

You will be responsible for the management and governance of the estimating function across the UGL group and to ensure adherence to UGL’s estimating processes and procedures.

This is a complex role requiring a combination of skills. You’ll manage multiple industry sectors, multiple EGM’s and GM’s and you’ll require a high level of technical knowledge in order to validate and verify that best practice has been applied to all tenders.

**Your responsibilities will include**
- Overall governance of Group Estimating and Tendering processes and procedures
- Review bids in detail prior to Gate C presentation to the Group Tender Committee
- Assist Lines of Business with tender opportunity assessment and bid strategy and review of estimates and budgets prior to approval for submission
- Oversee analysis of past performance on projects and establish estimating standards for all future estimates based on such analysis
- Conduct estimating training across all functional estimating leads

- Extensive experience as an Estimator in a contracting industry with significant exposure to $300m+ projects
