The Office of Local Government (OLG) is a small, yet diverse agency of professionals invested in creating healthy and prosperous communities across NSW. **The role**
As an interface between Federal, State and Local government in NSW, OLG is a pivotal avenue of interaction, advice and guidance on an effective local government sector.
The Cross Government team, part of the OLG Strategic Reform branch, is responsible for acting as a conduit between the local government sector, the NSW State Government and the Federal Government of Australia on matters of government policy, regulations and priorities. In this role you'll assist the Cross Government team in liaising with councils and other state government agencies, providing project, research and program support functions, drafting advice on policy and initiatives within the local government sector, and working closely with stakeholders to inform future policy development.
Your role will be about ensuring smooth project delivery and effective communication with key stakeholders and you’ll be hands-on with research, reporting, and administrative tasks that contribute to a stronger and healthier local government sector.
A challenge would be balancing multiple priorities, navigating tight deadlines, and engaging with diverse stakeholders while keeping everything running smoothly.
