In this newly created position, the APAC HR Business Partner will function as a hands-on strategic partner working across our APAC region in collaboration with our EMEA and US teams to implement the Ankura People strategy. Across our APAC region we have offices in Australia, China, Hong Kong, India and Singapore. We are focused on continuing to grow and expand our Ankura footprint across the EMEA APAC region. You will influence, educate, develop, and support employees at every level to drive business performance to achieve the Firm’s growth and employee engagement plans.

As People Office advisory partner, as a member of the People team you will deliver business critical advice and tactical support on all aspects of Human Resources and Employee Relations, developing an excellent understanding of Ankura’s culture and processes. You will work with the VP People Advisory for EMEA APAC to lead all people-related topics in APAC including talent and performance management, employee development/coaching, learning and reward and recognition. Given our growth agenda you will likely have the opportunity to work on new country openings, acquisitions and be involved in our global people projects.

We have three offices in Australia - Sydney, Perth and Melbourne. The successful individual will be based at one of these offices.

**Requirements**:
- Validated, successful experience as a Human Resources professional in a commercially driven, fast paced, matrixed organisation, ideally within professional services- Proven success in driving HR initiatives including employee engagement, employee relations, talent management, merger and acquisition experience, compensation and benefit strategy and administration- Strategic mind-set with ability to partner with key decision-makers in the business while driving the business from an operational perspective- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, able to influence and interact across all levels of the organisation- Demonstrable experience working in a complex, commercial organisation and/or consulting role that requires detail orientation, good judgment, hands on delivery, action orientated and strong analytical skills- Experience of working across the APAC region and working across multiple countries is essential, in particular China experience would be highly desirable.- Superior IT skills including MS-Office and related HR systems/databases is essential. Experience of using Workday would be beneficial.- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in HR or other related advanced degree/HR Qualifications
