Overview

HR Business Partner – APAC (15 month FTC)

The HR Global People Function is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support APAC-based colleagues in Australia and Singapore. You will help deliver the people agenda, manage the employee lifecycle, and enable effective processes to support growth and efficiency across the APAC region.

Responsibilities
  • Be the HRBP for APAC, providing the full breadth of the people agenda and serving as the primary HR contact for APAC colleagues in Australia and Singapore.
  • Partner across a broad range of activity including Performance Management, Wellness, Employee Relations, Talent Management, Onboarding, Promotions, Salary reviews and People MI.
  • Develop and own local People Plans for the client group; coordinate with People Operations, Reward, Recruitment, Employee Experience and Learning & Development to drive progress.
  • Build trusted relationships and provide hands-on and strategic support to the APAC Partner Lead(s) in delivering the people agenda of business plans.
  • Advise, coach and upskill people managers across APAC with varying levels of experience.
  • Deliver training programmes across APAC to educate and upskill on Baringa best practice and ways of working.
  • Proactively engage with stakeholders, and challenge and influence where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across APAC locations and the broader People team in the UK; adapt approaches to meet different jurisdictional and location requirements.
What You Will Bring / Qualifications
  • Experience in HR, ideally in a HRBP or HR Generalist role.
  • Experience with APAC professional services firms and/or partnerships is ideal.
  • Strong employee relations knowledge with application of local labour law and internal procedures; ability to manage employee relation cases independently and in line with local law.
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with local labour law changes and upskill colleagues and clients accordingly.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management with the ability to influence and develop good HR practice.
  • Self-motivated, with a proactive, can-do mindset and willingness to roll up sleeves.
  • Good judgement and risk awareness, balancing local needs with long-term interests of the firm.
  • Ability to work in partnership with the broader People function and APAC HRBPs.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and handling unfamiliar aspects of the HRBP role.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
