**About Movember**
Movember is the leading men’s health organisation and charity changing the face of men’s health globally, tackling mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer. In our mission to stop men dying too young, we’re seeking a passionate Manager, Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (Health Literacy) to join our Movember Institute based in Australia.
**About the role**
The purpose of the Manager, Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (Health Literacy) role is to design, commission, oversee and share the learnings from monitoring and evaluation activities conducted within Movember's Health Literacy Impact Portfolio. The role is focussed on facilitating internal organisational learning, contributing to building the evidence of what improves the health literacy of men, and sharing this evidence externally to drive knowledge translation into practice. There will be a focus on determining how best we support men to identify their own health risks and seek help from healthcare professionals when needed.
**Some of your responsibilities will be**:
- Partner with the Global Director of Health Literacy to understand MEL needs and design a fit for purpose MEL approach for the whole portfolio.
- Develop a theory of change for the Health Literacy portfolio and work with the team to develop suitable indicators and measures of key outcomes.

- Commission and manage external consultants to conduct the planned MEL activities and oversee the quality of key MEL deliverables from external consultants.
- When needed, be responsible for the submission of HREC submissions, ethical monitoring and reporting.
- Develop and implement a monitoring and learning plan for each health literacy project to guide internal and external learning activities.
- Where applicable, facilitate iterative cycles of learning within each health literacy team during the implementation of each MEL activity. Adopt a continuous improvement approach to assist with the monitoring of progress and uncovering of insights along the way that could be shared more broadly.
- Proactively identify the need for new MEL policies, processes, frameworks and tools, and contribute to their development and addition to the MEL Team Toolkit.
**For this role, you’ll need to**:
- Possess relevant post graduate qualifications in public/population health, psychology, behavioural science, implementation science, market research, and/or evaluation, or a related health discipline.
- An understanding of, and experience working with, models of human behaviour and/or social determinants of health.
- Experience in health promotion and/or health literacy campaign evaluation, including an understanding of website analytics and media agency metrics and the types of data that can be mined from these.
- Skilled and experienced in monitoring and evaluation end-to-end project management (~10 years). Preferably those that relate to market research, health promotion, health literacy and/or digital health products.
- Skilled and experienced in the development of theories of change and program logics, and evaluation frameworks.
- Skilled and experienced across a range of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
- Professional experience working in a health-focussed context and experience or interest in working at the prevention or early intervention end of the health system.
- Skilled and experienced in supporting staff from non-research or evaluation functional areas to understand and value MEL work and evaluative thinking.
