Bicycle shop Store Manager

For our Toowoomba based Bikeshop Bikeline we are looking for a strong Store Manager that can run the day to day operations at our store.

We aim to be the leading bike store in town where clients can find every possible accessory, bicycle part, apparel and the best Specialized bicycles. We are all about the customer experience. Finding the right bike for what the customer wants to do is more important than making a quick sale. Bikeline stocks the biggest range of many cycling products such as apparel, shoes, bags, carrier racks etc. We also display full size ranges of all popular bicycle models that are available to us.

Our expectations from the Store Manager:

- Lead the team of sales and workshop staff
- Be a visible sales person in the store
- Be the main contact point for suppliers sales reps
- Product ordering (bikes/accessories/workshop consumables etc.)
- Ensure quality KPI’s are met in the workshop
- Ensure time KPI’s are met in the workshop
- Ensure turnover KPI’s for workshop are met
- Ensure sales KPI’s are met
- Manage most customer interactions also if we have dropped the ball on something.

This is a full-time position which also requires regular weekend work by the store manager.

As this is a senior position we require at least 5 years of experience in a similar leadership role (outside of industry) or at least 5 years of experience in a bikeshop where you excelled at what you did and have references to confirm that.

It is essential that the store manager is a cyclist road or mountain and is keen to be visible and active in the Toowoomba community. Regularly riding, calling for rides, actively offering to take clients out on our fleet of demo / rental bikes.

Not from the region With an escarpment that drops around 500m there are awesome mountain biking trails just 5 KM from our shop. Enjoy the road more? Roadies regularly climb the range on early mornings and on the downhill you will reach speeds of up to 80 KM/H. Prefer less climbing; the western side of town is a bit more undulating but you shouldn’t be afraid of hills if you move here.

Who are we:
Sarah and Marcel are the owners of Bikeline. Being Dutch Cycling is in Marcel’s genes. In his expat days in Singapore he cycled between 250 and 350 KM weekly and joined in some amateur racing in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. With a store manager in place it is his ambition to be able to grow his weekly mileage back to similar distances.

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
