Our client is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced individual to perform in the role of Procurement Control Officer. This role is for a period of 1-month, with a possible extension of 1-month, and a possible view to permanency - 20 hours per week.

In the role of Procurement Control Officer, you will provide consistent, high-level support for procurement and contract administration activities across the organisation, following a centre-led procurement model. You will help solve problems and resolve issues regarding procurement functions. You wll consistently work to meet targets and commitments against your work or performance plans.

**To be successful in this role, the ideal applicant will possess the following skills and experience**:

- Experience in purchasing, tendering and contract management.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency, with experience in electronic purchasing processes.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with staff, suppliers, contractors and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience in procurement or similar role within local government
- Knowledge of legislative and regulatory framework for procurement
- Qualifications in procurement and supply chain management or other related discipline
- Current NSW Class C Driver’s Licence
