The Corporate Services & Business Improvement Branch (CSBI) is part of the FSAM Division of the NSW Ministry of Health (MOH). CSBI co-ordinates the strategic direction and provide high-level advice and service delivery to the Financial Controller, Division and Branch executives and project managers in relation to planning, evaluation, use and maintenance of financial resources for Division and Branches. The branch also oversees the corporate services functions for the MOH and other entities ensuring that all processes and systems provide operational efficiencies.

**About this role**

The Project Support Officer provides efficient and effective project management and business support activities to the NSW Ministry of Health. This role is responsible for supporting CSBI project initiatives and providing support to improve operational efficiency, business process improvement and support the development of new business models of service delivery.

Crown Clerk 5/6, starting salary from $93,295 - $102,941 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week. **This is a full time ongoing (permanent) position.**

**What you'll be doing**
- Support and take part in a range of projects and business activities which support the operational priorities of CSBI, including contract and performance management, procurement and compliance, finance systems, budgetary management and administrative process management.
- Coordinate, support and advise key internal and external stakeholders to ensure that operational and financial systems and processes are compliant, effective, efficient, and useful, and are followed consistently.
- Assist the Corporate Business Operations Manager to lead and implement the CSBI strategic plan that supports improvements in business processes with a focus on generating efficiencies across all corporate functions of MOH (inclusive of all internal and external processes and procedures).
- Provide a range of administrative and support services to meet the business needs of the team/unit.
- Coordinate and manage records and databases, complying with administrative systems, processes and policies, to ensure that all information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible.
- Develop, implement and monitor office systems, procedures and methods, adapting processes and techniques as required, to facilitate efficient team/unit operations in line with agency standards, policies and procedures.
- Gather and collate information for, and prepare documentation and reports on business unit performance, as well as make recommendations to improve efficiency, cost management and service delivery.
