Procurement Manager

Reporting into the Chief Financial Officer.

Permanent full time position.

Head Office in St Leonards, 5 minute walk from the station - hybrid work available.

2 direct reports.

Looking for someone with a strong character to make big procurement decisions.

Experience with Procure-to-Pay and Dynamics systems will help.

Purpose of the role:
Provide leadership in improving supply-chain practices and develop and implement all procurement and contract management policies, procedures, and systems across RSL LifeCare.

What will you be doing?- Function as a key strategic adviser in relation to the provision of procurement systems.- Provide strategic advice to the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Operations team in relation to major procurement initiatives.- Review current Procurement and Contract management arrangements and develop a plan to achieve efficiencies, effectiveness, and value for money.- Oversee all procurement and develop and implement a preferred supplier strategy and project plan to ensure value for money.- Consultant with the General Manager of Property and oversee all minor capital works contracts to ensure projects are delivered in line with targets.- Develop Purchasing and Procurement policies and procedures.- Educate facility managers and business units around purchasing protocols and effective purchasing to achieve compliance with the system.- Establish and manage tender processes to achieve savings through group purchasing.- Assess new products and technologies in conjunction with CIO to determine suitability against specifications and cost-effectiveness.- Managing complex stakeholders, across multiple departments (Retirement Living, Aged Care, Home Care, Veterans service and corporate support services).- Leading supply chain sustainability/ESG initiatives such as energy management, modern slavery act compliance etc.

Who are you?- We don’t mind where you are now, but you will have to be able to demonstrate that you have what is needed to get the job done. Having said that, coming from multi-sited organisation will make your transition easier, as will having some understanding of either the not-for-profit or healthcare space.- You will be an expert at all things logistics, purchasing and supply chain efficiency.- You don’t take yourself too seriously.- You know how to keep people onboard and engaged.- Fully committed to ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
