Key Communications Support for Mayor, Councillors, Executive and Organisation's Corporate Priorities

**Your new company**
One of our Inner-North City Councils are looking for a Team Leader of Corporate Communications to provide their expert advise related to Council's brand and public relations. Located within Melbourne's metro, this Council is focussed on ensuring a safe and liveable environment is provided to it's local residents.

**Your new role**
Your new role is an essential part to all things public relations for corporate communications. You will be responsible for the plans and strategies that come with managing the Council's brand. You will act as key support to the Council's Mayor and Councillors. You will work with the Executive to manage corporate priorities including budgets, communication plans and capital projects.

As Team Leader of Corporate Communications, you will be responsible for communication governance functions such as the organisational style guide, communications policies, work instructions, supports team operational planning and as well leading the Communications team to produce relevant communications of Council meetings and events.

**What you'll need to succeed**
To work within this Local Government Council you must:

- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Hold a valid Working with Children Check
- Have relevant education in Marketing, Communications, Media or relevant disciplines,
- Have prior experience of management with publications and brand budget
- Prior experience working in a public relations, brand strategy or advance communications position
- Be eligible to obtain a National Police Check
