This role is responsible for supporting the Manager, Head of, Executive and Group MLRO deliver risk stewardship, to support the NAB Group manage and mitigate its Fraud risks.
**The role and day to day will include**:
- Advise and challenge on all aspects of Fraud matters in a digital banking business unit.
- Provide an assessment of fraud risks on existing and new products, services and channels.
- Support the business and Line 1 Risk teams in embedding Fraud Risk Policy Framework including risk appetite settings.
- Monitor risk appetite settings and tolerances and ensure action plans are in place where the business is operating outside these settings.
- Provide policy guidance, definition and interpretation assistance, and perform oversight activities.
- Provide insights on fraud risks to Senior Management and other relevant stakeholders.
- Work as an effective team member, supporting peers and recognising the contributions of others to ensure the achievement of team goals.
- Demonstrate and provide professional and ethical behaviour in your actions by ensuring compliance with external legislation, bank standards and internal operating policies and procedures relevant to the position.
- Support the assessment of control design effectiveness and operating effectiveness.
- Support the performance of thematic or risk-based assurance reviews in response to a change in the internal or external environment.
**What you will bring**:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in fraud risk management.
- Sound knowledge of current fraud risks and an understanding of emerging fraud trends in digital banking.
- Knowledge of fraud typologies and appropriate controls to manage the risk in digital banking
- Sound knowledge of financial crime requirements and regulations locally (and globally), relating to Fraud and Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF).
- Tertiary qualified with a Degree in Business. Specialisation in Financial crime and AML/CTF related qualifications e.g. CFE, CAMS desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and influencing and negotiation ability.
- Commercial awareness and ability to understand broader business issues.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast moving and demanding environment.
