**About the Role**
- Lead the Company in best practice for providing a safe and healthy work environment at all times for all staff, and anyone attending Company worksites/projects.
- Review existing performance to identify WHSE department requirements
- Evolve and oversee the Company’s WHSE system, processes, accreditation and compliance needs
- Manage and maintain a competency and training matrix for all WHSE requirements
- Maintain appropriate systems for the control of all necessary WHSE documented information
- Work with senior operational managers to drive change and enable the effective implementation and embedding of WHSE initiatives
- Train and develop all staff in WHSE, provide advice, support and expertise
- WHSE documentation and tender requirements
- Oversee and lead both corporate and project-based staff for all WHSE matters, therefore interstate site visits will be required
- Carry out project audits to ensure safety culture in being embraced and implemented by the project delivery teams
- Design and drive the commitment to a “zero harm culture” and “lost time injury” free workplace

**Suitable applicants will ideally possess the following**:

- 7+ years’ experience WHSE plus 3+ years in senior leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in OHS, or Building & Construction Management; or demonstrated capability through experience
- Cert IV in OHS as a minimum
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment
- Formal Incident Investigation Training
- Qualification in Drug & Alcohol Specimen Collection
- Ensure Monford safety standards are adhered and regulations relating to health, safety and the environment are being exceeded;
- Lead, consult and support on-site personnel, Supervisors and Managers in embracing and valuing the benefits of a proactive WHSE culture;
- Strong understanding of Safety Management and a positive approach to implementation and execution of pragmatic management systems;
