- Permanent Full-time position with competitive remuneration
- 8:6 roster to various sites in WA
The position will see you working across various sites on an 8:6 roster to facilitate support and coaching of the site leadership teams and implementation of strategic plans. This will require the incumbent to be an engaging communicator, organised, and model behaviour appropriate to the role.
This position is suitable for a WHS Advisor who is looking to challenge themselves, obtain growth, and develop their skillset and knowledge.
**Duties and responsibilities**:
- Provide HSEQ guidance, advice, training, and support to site leadership teams
- Develop and deliver effective training programs to manage HSEQ risks and eliminate injuries
- Conduct inspections, audits, and investigations to ensure compliance with the organisation’s safety management policies and relevant legislation
- Support the execution of fundamental safety initiatives and training such as pre-start meetings and leadership programs
- Support the leadership team in incident management and reporting
- Facilitate the development of systems and processes to ensure compliance across the organisation
- Liaising with clients to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in HSEQ across numerous customer sites
- Managing the collection, storage, and reporting of data
**Essential requirements**:
- Tertiary qualifications or Certificate 4 in Work, Health & Safety
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry
- To have obtained a White Card, Alcohol and Other Drugs Testing Qualification, and ICAM Investigator Qualification
- Knowledgeable in the Harmonised Legislation applicable to general WHS & WA mining
- Demonstrate an understanding of Management of Change
- Experience with risk assessment and control methodologies
- Experience in developing and presenting training
- Effective communication, including the building and maintaining of relationships with external and internal stakeholders
- Experience in working within the mining or conveyor belt industry will be highly regarded
**Preferred requirements**:
- Experience in Quality & ISO 9001
- Certificate 4 Trainer/Assessor
- WHS Auditor qualifications
- Injury management experience
