We are actively seeking a dedicated and passionate Senior Safety Advisor who thrives in collaborative environments and is committed to fostering a safe and injury-free workplace.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills both written and verbal, which are critical in fostering effective collaboration and facilitating clear interactions within diverse teams. The ability to adapt communication styles to various audiences, ensuring comprehension across differing levels of expertise is a must. About the Role

  • Maintain and administrate Transmin's WHSMS across the organisation
  • Work closely with various departments to ensure compliance with ISO standards, Legislation and Regulations
  • Develop and apply processes for monitoring, measuring and evaluating WHSE performance
  • Continuously improve, implement and maintain risk management processes organisationally
  • Communicate and engage with all stakeholders to mitigate risk
  • Act as the primary contact for all WHSE matters for staff, contractors, managers and external stakeholders
  • Maintain and publish accurate safety statistics. Analyse statistical trends to identify risks
  • Develop and deliver training sessions and packages to staff and contractors to enhance the general safety awareness within the organisation along with ensuring competency in the WHSE system
  • Coordinate Safety Rep activities and Chair Safety Committee
  • Conduct regular spot audits to ensure compliance across the organisation.

About You

  • Minimum of Cert IV in OHS or similar tertiary qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Injury management experience desirable
  • Experience in investigation of incidents, identifying root causes (I-CAM desirable)
  • Experience in developing and delivering safety training
  • Previous experience in and an industrial/manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organisational skills to keep on schedule
  • High level administrative skills
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office
