Operational Risk Manager

The Operational Risk in Change Manager/ Senior Manager role will join’s Macquarie’s Business Operational Risk Management team within our Finance Management Group, responsible for developing and implementing Macquarie’s Non-Financial Risk Management framework.

The Projects & Change team within Financial Management Group, deliver wide ranging initiatives in partnership with all divisions of Macquarie. These projects enable us to remain operationally efficient and meet ever-evolving regulatory demands. As part of the Business Operational Risk Management strategy, we are expanding our capability to support our divisions in delivering this transformation.

This role will see you responsible for providing dedicated support to the divisional teams within Financial Management Group as they execute their transformation programs.

**You will work collaboratively with the Project Management Office, Operational Risk Management colleagues and Divisional teams to**:

- Assess the risk inherent in the transformation projects to deliver a robust control environment
- Engender a culture of proactive risk identification
- Provide advice to proactively identify and manage risk
- Validate the design, implementation and operation of controls
- Achieve successful Risk Management outcomes on complex agendas involving multi-year Transformation Programs, Regulatory Change and/or Data related projects
- Embed Financial Management operational risk change team engagement framework within priority projects
- Assess, advise and challenge the optimal design of controls within the context of priority projects
- Provide quality Risk advice and create artefacts to evidence active engagement of Risk Management in priority projects
- Provide training and guidance to uplift the capability within Financial Management Group on Risk in Change
- Collaborate with Risk Management Group colleagues to actively contribute to Risk Management initiatives and frameworks development

**To support our high performing culture and to be successful in this role, you will possess**:

- Proven experience within Financial Services, Consulting/Professional services within Risk Management, Assurance or Change Management disciplines
- Tertiary and/or Professional qualifications in any of the following - Finance, Economics, Law, Project Management or Technology
- Outstanding capacity to deliver high quality results to deadline, with good attention to detail
- Active listening and communicating skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across Project Management Office, Operational Risk team, Risk Management, Data Office and Business divisions within Finance Management Group
